Citrine is one of my favorites because it does not collect negative energy as it helps the wearer work on both physical and more etheric problems. It never needs cleansing. It is a quartz family member with colors from light yellows to deep amber . It's energies help to align the chakras, it brings lightness to the root chakra, clarity to the 3rd chakra at the solar plexus. In faceted form Citrine helps the crown chakra combine intelligence and the perfection of the crown chakra to encourage the awakening of the mind. Citrine is optimism, new beginnings, and forward looking to the East and the rising sun.

Eventide, middle English for evening , what a wonderful skyscape met my gaze as I left for home. One of the advantages to working too much is when you finally leave the hospital the sun is setting . We have been on the southern side of a Low pressure with lots of humidity ( about 700 % ) and evening thunderstorms, Tonight the sky was spectacular as the Sun bid us farewell for a few hours.

One of my favorite stones is Labradorite. It is in the Feldspar family and found in abundance in Labrador Canada. This stone has chatoyant properties, or it shimmers like a cat's eye, from the french verb "chatoyer". These stones are described as containing highly evolved energies from other galaxies , the "temple of the stars". It protects the wearer , balancing , clearing the aura , and preventing energy leaks. This is a good stone for the intuitive helping to transform that deep inner knowing to thought forms that can be expedited in this present Earthly plane. Symbolic of the Moon, Transitions, and Ascension.
If you would like to know more about Labradorite please check Melody's book " Love is in the Earth".

Under the magic of the recent full moon , we were honored by a wonderful faerie circle of mushrooms in a nearby meadow, they gathered in a circle and grew to enomous proportions , some of the caps being 7 inches across. I can imagine the giggling and chatter at the faerie tea parties that were in progress that night as we snoozed.

I think that I have grown closer to our sweet lady in the night. The Moon, La Luna, changes her mood constantly , and for a week each month she showers my evening walks with soft light. As the dogs and I take our final stroll for the night everything is bright with moonshadows. On nights like these the rabbits have a particularly hard time hiding. The moon is a constant source of inspiration . She stirs our oceans and creates our tides , with full moons we see more earthquake activity . Although she is many hundreds of thousands of miles away , her movements are an intimate part of our lives. Her beauty fuels our imagination and her symbolism weaves it's way throughout our literature. She is the goddess of the night . Step outside and take in some of her glow tonight.
