Since the beginning of the new year staying warm has been a fulltime job. One of the things I like about burning wood is how the stack looks and the patterns it takes. Next week hopefully we have a some warmer weather coming and maybe less trips to the wood pile.

they ( the weather prognosticators) say a bit of a warm up is in store this week , I hope , and actually this picture was about 1/3 of the wood. It arrives in stages. If it came all at once I think it would be too daunting a task to stack .
